Natural Monument “Skakavac”

The main feature of the reserve are: Skakavac waterfall; Sušica canyon; Perački creek; Jasikovac creek, Lješnica creek, Miljevački creek; Seinovački creek; Bukovik, “Vranjske stijene” and Stublina springs.

Nature Park “Cicelj”

“Cicelj” nature park is characterized with high plant diversity as 513 species have been identified there. Out of those, 43 are regionally or globally rare species, while six of them are endemic and one is sub endemic.

“Slatina” Forest Park

Protected natural area that features natural and human created values. The major part of the complex is composed of the natural association of beech and sessile oak, while the minor par was artificially created from planting black pine.

Livno Field

Livno field is the largest wetland in BiH and the largest intermittently flooded kras field in the world. This natural water reservoir as well as marsh vegetation make it a habitat to many species of fish and water birds.

Natural Monument “Under the Linden Tree” Cave

“Under the Linden Tree” Cave is located near “Kadića HIll” village and represents an important archeological site. Etchings from paleolithic at the cave’s entrance represent the oldest such example found in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Natural Monument “Vjetrenica” Cave

Vjetrenica cave was created by water flows of various directions and all other processes which affect the development of cavities, including disintegration, erosion and collapse.

Natural Monument “Tajan”

Two protected zones are designated within the reserve. The first encompasses nearly 82 percent and is located in the area of Zavidovići municipality, while the second zone is entirely located within the Kakanj municipality.

Natural Monument “Bosna River Source”

Protected area is divided into two zones. The first zone includes the source of Bosna river and its surrounding area, while the second zone is made up of the source’s catchment area at the foot of Mt. Igman.

Nature park “Orjen”

Special value consists of endemic and rare forests of Bosnian pine and beech. Numerous bird species have been registered as well as native and non-native species of fish, amphibians, reptiles and mammals.

Forest Park “Jelića Hill”

This is a forest complex in the close vicinity of Laktaši downtown. It consists of the natural association of Sessile Oak with other deciduous trees. It can be characterized as a light deciduous forest with a noted variety of levels and numerous plant and animal species.

Bardača Wetland Complex

Bardača wetland and archeological site “Donja Dolina” are located on the northeast of “Lijevče field, between the Sava river in the North and the Vrbas river in the south.

Natural Monument “Ljubačevo” Cave

The cave is 14 km away from the Banja Luka city center. It was discovered in the southern part of a rock quarry after an explosion and the major part of the underground system has been permanently destroyed because of rock extraction.
