Trial in Connection with Nikola Špirić’s Official Car
In 2008, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina paid 219,900 KM for an Audi Q7 intended for then chairman Nikola Špirić. Five years later the car was sold for 34,218 KM. The following month a trial related to the car’s procurement is scheduled to open before the Basic Court in Brčko District. Defendants are charged with fraud and abuse of office.
Million KM in Accommodation Allowances to Undeserving Civil Servants
Around million KM was spent on monthly accommodation allowances for civil servants who work outside of their place of residence. The money was allocated from the state budget and paid out to 3,036 persons in Dec 2011. The amounts ranged between 90 and 400 KM a month. Some civil servants not in a position of seniority claimed allowances against the regulations.
Changes in the Assets of the State Ministers
Since the last statement of assets Chairman and members of the Council of Ministers: Vjekoslav Bevanda, Nikola Špirić, Sredoje Nović and Mirko Okolić have acquired new properties and summer houses in Donje Blatnice, Drvar, Pale and Doboj, while Zlatko Lagumdžija reported ___unknown co-ownership” of the family home and land in Trebinje.
