Prosecutor Diana Kajmaković Suspended

Deputy BiH Chief Prosecutor Diana Kajmaković suspended after the U.S. Government blacklisted her due to her affiliation with criminal organizations.

Diana Kajmaković is suspended today from the duty of Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). This decision was rendered at the request of the Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC), said the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH).

In mid-October, ODC launched disciplinary proceedings after the U.S. Government blacklisted Kajamaković for undermining democracy and rule of law in BiH. According to allegations of the U.S. Government, the name of the prosecutor appeared in the Sky application, which criminal circles use for communication.

ODC explained that Kajmaković is being investigated for abuse of office with the aim to obtain a benefit for herself or others, interfering in the work of other prosecutors and judges with the aim to obstruct their activities, misconduct that harms the reputation of prosecutorial function, and gross abuse of duty. Kajmaković will remain suspended until the disciplinary proceedings is finalized.
