SIPA said today that 84 informations about the criminal were of use to this and other police agencies in the country. The police ranked 163 reports as unserious and in 211 cases the citizens asked help from the police officers.
“Twelve pieces of information were related to crimes under SIPA’s jurisdiction“, said SIPA spokesperson Željka Kujundžija. The state agency has forwarded the remaining 72 useful pieces of information along with the reports to other police organizations in the country.
The police received 14 tips for corruption and abuse of office and other similar crimes; 11 for illicit trade in narcotic drugs, while 5 cases were related to document forging, theft and illegal sale of cars.

Based on this bits of information, SIPA has submitted 6 criminal reports with the prosecutors, while one report is pending the prosecutor’s opinion.
Everyone can anonymously report a crime with the Crime Hunters via a phone or the web page.
Kujundžija said that the police officers first explain to the citizens how to report a crime so that they can debrief them.
“After the police makes a report on what the citizens have reported. If it’s under SIPA’s jurisdiction, then we work on the case. If it isn’t, then it’s passed on to the other police agencies”, she explained.
