Gerald Gahima, the former Rwandan judge appointed to the new BiH War Crimes Chamber last April, is under investigation by overseers of the judicial system because of his background in Rwanda, according to Branko Perić, the President of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC).
Six months after he abruptly quit the state War Crimes Chamber Gerald Gahima continues to identify himself as an international judge of the court and to dodge questions about an investigation into his appointment.
The mission of the center is to train investigative editors and reporters in the practical environment of a working investigative team.
The Center for Investigative Reporting has published its first story on the state of health care in Bosnia. Titled “Health care on life support,” the series of eight stories looks at problems in the health care industry.
It is a centar dedicated to helping local journalists get the time, resources and independence to do comprehensive and accurate investigative journalism.
The Center for Investigative Reporting (CIN) in Sarajevo is unique in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the first organization of its kind to be established in Balkans. CIN is dedicated to investigative reporting, aimed toward providing fair and unbiased information, based on evidences and solid proof, to BiH citizens who need to make educated decisions.
