Former Head of the Uniformed Police Sector of the Federation Police Administration (FUP), Zoran Čegar, pleads before the Sarajevo Municipal Court on charges of document forgery.
“I am not guilty”, said Zoran Čegar, the former Head of the Uniformed Police Sector of the Federation Police Administration (FUP), as he pleaded before the Sarajevo Municipal Court on charges of document forgery.
The indictment was filed by the Canton Sarajevo Prosecutor’s Office in September 2024, and the date for the continuation of the trial will be determined at a later time.

In the first five month of this year, Sarajevo Canton has spent more than it had earned. The expenditure was nearly 260 million KM, or three million KM more than the revenue according to a non-governmental organization the Centers of Civil Initiatives (CCI) after evaluating the activities of the canton’s government and its parliament for the first six months of this year. CCI warned that the budget was burdened with a new credit for capital projects of 26 million KM and that there the canton is constantly sued by the budget beneficiaries which also presents danger for the Canton’s liquidity.
State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) has filed criminal reports with prosecutors regarding financial crime worth around 3 million KM. SIPA press release cites 38 reports in the first six months of this year against 169 individuals, 20 firms and one unknown person.

The Cantonal court in Tuzla upheld Asmir Fazlić’s appeal after the Land Registry Office in Živinice had stopped the buyer from registering the property in his name. Fazlić bought the contested property from Tasim Kučević, sentenced to 12 years in prison on charges of organizing prostitution and human trafficking, at the end of March 2010.
