Municipal Court’s Discouraging Ruling Against Journalists

Even though the Center for Investigative Reporting in Sarajevo based its reporting about My Clinic and General Hospital on the institutions’ official documents, the Municipal Court in Sarajevo handed down a ruling stating that these records were not trustworthy.

Indictment Against Senaid Begić Approved

Municipal Court in Zenica approved indictment against Senaid Begić, the FBiH legislator and a former director of Zenica-Doboj Canton Health Care Fund and Omer Avdaković, the head of Fund’s finances, on charges of abuse of office and fraud in office. CIN has already written about it.

Illegal Appointment of Aide with Party Connections

Stjepan Dujo was appointed assistant to the director of BiH Legislative Office despite failing to meet the criteria about required years of experience. Lidija Bradara, former chairwoman of the House of Peoples in the Federation of BiH Parliament, previously illegally appointed Dujo as her aide. Both belong to Croatian Democratic Party.

Indictment Against Agan Bunić Approved

Prosecutors filed an indictment against the chairman of Una Sana Canton Assembly on charges of the abuse of office and forging of official document during his mayoral term in Bužim.

Judge Fazlagić Disinherited Holocaust Victims

Houses, apartments and business premises of Sarajevo Jews who died in the Holocaust were transferred to new owners, thanks to the illegal rulings of a judge who, in the same way, appropriated two properties in the narrowest part of the city.

Trial in Connection with Nikola Špirić’s Official Car

In 2008, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina paid 219,900 KM for an Audi Q7 intended for then chairman Nikola Špirić. Five years later the car was sold for 34,218 KM. The following month a trial related to the car’s procurement is scheduled to open before the Basic Court in Brčko District. Defendants are charged with fraud and abuse of office.
